High Performance Buildings, when compared to their counterparts, are buildings that demonstrate a significantly better level of performance, which can be measured. They represent the latest technology in building design, engineering, and construction, and have a pioneering role in preserving the health and well-being of their users, ensuring a return on investment, efficient utilization of limited natural resources, and minimizing negative impacts on the environment. Any type of building, ranging from social housing to prestigious office buildings, can be considered a “high-performance building.”

The purpose of this center is to promote widespread recognition of High Performance Buildings, become an authoritative body that sets their standards, and address the challenges faced by the built environment, including population growth, resource scarcity (energy, water, materials), climate change (global warming and extreme events), environmental preservation, economic fluctuations, and the side effects of social transformation. By creating a demand for buildings that surpass typical average construction, it aims to benefit all segments of society.
